bbBoard v2

Software Requirements bbBoard v2 requires a server with:

Perl 5.x
A supported Database Backend (mySQL, postgreSQL, Sprite etc - mySQL is recommended).
Perl Modules:
- CGI.pm, LWP::Simple for installation
- Archive::Tar, IO::Zlib and Compress::Zlib, OR a working GNU tar/gzip binary available
- Net::Telnet if you wish to use the e-mail verification features
- The required perl module for your database backend (e.g DBD::mysql or DBD::Pg, etc)

If you wish to test that bbBoard v2 will work on your system before purchasing, you can use our Tester Script. Instructions:

Download the Tester Script.
Unzip tester.zip, using a program such as WinZip or Stuffit.
Upload tester.cgi in ASCII mode, to your web server. Check the Visual Movie Walkthroughs for help with this.
Chmod tester.cgi to 0755. See the Visual Movie Walkthroughs for help.
Load tester.cgi in your web browser. It will go through a list of checks, and will let you know what (if anything) needs to be changed or installed for bbBoard v2 to work on your server.

* When installing on Mac OS X, please ensure to first install the OS X Developer Tools. You can usually find them in Applications/Installers/Developer Tools/Developer.mpkg, or from Apple's web site.
